Wally the Walrus lives up in the arctic.
He likes to lie on the beach all day.
But when Wally’s bored, he goes and gets ready.
Wally swims off to find a friend who wants to play.
Up on a sheet of ice, was someone quite nice, Sally the Seal's her name.
But Sally didn’t dilly dally and said quite frankly, “I’m sorry Wally, but I can’t play”
“Why” said Wally, he didn’t understand his folly, why wouldn’t anyone want to play?
“Because, you see, if you were to get on this ice sheet with me, we’d both be in the sea”
“Don’t get closer. Just stay, I’m beginning to sink away.”
Sally pointed at Wally and said with great moxy, “you’re simply too big, too heavy”
Wally felt sad, but refused to get mad.
Without a delay, Wally left and continued on his way.
In the Arctic sea Wally did see Barry the Beluga swimming freely.
“Hey Barry, let’s play for the day, what do you say?”
Barry paused for a bit. Then called it quits.
“I have two big problems, you see, Wally, those teeth”.
“Your teeth are too sharp, I’m afraid to say. Maybe if they’re shorter…some day”.
Wally felt sad, but refused to get mad.
Without a delay, Wally left and continued on his way.
Wally went ashore, determined to look for something more
Perhaps here, he’ll find a friend to play.
There! There! It was Polly Polar Bear.
Out from the white, Polly gave Wally a great fright.
the big Polar Bear slowly approached the little walrus.
“You want to play? You’ll make my day” roared Polly Polar Bear.
Polly’s odd smile made Wally not want to stay awhile.
So he decided to waddle away.
Wally alone, let out a small groan.
Why was there no one?
Wally felt sad. He felt a bit mad.
But didn’t let that ruin his day.
So Wally left and continued on his way.
Wally eventually found a beach.
A place where everyone had two teeth.
With big, buldgey bodies as far as the eye could see.
Finally thought Wally, by golly, this was a place for me.
Here Wally would stay.
He’d lie on the beach and play all day.
